Dear Folks,

Had 2 more x-rays taken today and I guess everything is OK as they haven’t added any weight.
Yesterday we had a treat (?). A 5 piece army band, a female quartet (acapella no less) and a featured singer performed in the wards. The band wasn’t bad, but the four girls were. They started in 4 varied keys and finished in 4 different ones. The feature singer, “who is well known from coast to coast appearing on the radio and in many canteens” (unquote) wasn’t bad either. Her name was something like Adelle Lambert. Ever hear of her. Today and Monday, 2 hollywood starlets (who no one ever heard of) are coming around the wards to sing and dance, or something.
Mystery: One of the armed forces radio programs from Lost Angeles that we hear over the loudspeaker is called “Melody Roundup” It is a program of western music and the band leader or M.C’s name is Bob Golden. Any resemblance? I doubt it very much if it is the Bob Golden we know. But you never can tell. He was out in California wasn’t he?
We saw Bob Hope in “They Got Me Covered.” Very funny even though I saw it before. I’m still waiting for my drawing tablet and pencils.
Well, I can’t think of anything else.
Love,
Bru
