Today, as usual, was very nasty in the morning and we were told that if it cleared up we’d hike. Sure enough, come noon, the sun came out and so did we. We had gone about ¼ mile around the hospital when, wham! The sky opened up and the rains came. We dashed (upon order) to the nearest shelter, naturally taking more time, I was slightly wet. The hike was called off, and we came back and changed. Now we’ll all stay another week because they say, you can’t skip out until the major sees you and since we didn’t hike this week, he didn’t see us. This afternoon we were entertained by a swing band which comes every Fri. Sometimes it’s a whole concert band. I don’t know what I’ll do this weekend yet.
